New Event - Deathgaze's Onslaught

The second phase of the Final Fantasy VI event will be starting soon, Deathgaze's Onslaught. It will be split into 2 parts once again with Midpoint and Overall Rankings.

For the first half of the event, 2 new maps will be released, the Opera House and Esper Caves!

With the addition of the Pravoka Region, a new class becomes available upon completion of the area: the Berserker class. (Unless they choose not to translate it as such, I haven't gotten that far yet.) Once you have the Berserker class, The Black Belt and Viking classes will be available for you to unlock as well.

By the way, the "Invite friends" referral event is pretty easy. It is not just about convincing your family and friends to download and play the game for at least 3 days, it is about networking. Networking with newbies and giving them, the opportunity, to get a free Lightning summon stone. Be awesome and get those newbies something nice.

Farming Revisited

What are your goals?

Weapon Scrolls

CP
-Fighting Brigade Battles, Typhon, Golem, and Sandworm all award CP
--Seriously, it's not necessary to concentrate on Typhoon for CP. I, for one, get more CP from the Esper than I do from Typhon.

Magicite
-Depends on how fast Typhoon is dying. All out attacks will award 3 sets of 3 (unless you kill it when it has like no hp left, then you get 2 sets of 3 regardless of the all out attack.) I alternate between 1BP and 3BP attacks. Though on really slow battles I regen 3BP in time for a new Typhoon.

Gil
-Autosell N/N+ Abilities when questing
-Autosell N/N+/R Weapons from Mogbox

-Sell any weapons that have a leveling rate of 'fast'. They aren't worth leveling.
-Sell what you never plan to use.
-Sell crystals from last event if you aren't gonna use them. I pretty sure no other event reuses them (but dont blame me if I'm wrong). And I doubt the event will rerun anytime soon either given all the other Japanese events we have yet to experience. Up to you.

I'm scouring the web for event data (ﾃｭﾎﾟｰﾝ&ﾃﾞｽｹﾞｲｽﾞ). I'm pretty sure part 2 has to do with Deathgaze. Especially since the Typhon death count used to say Deathgaze. I got a lot of data organized & translated/localized though I'm not sure what order abilities released.

Post #18 - Farming

I don't particularly farm as much as I kinda hoard things, but I been reading other people's conversations about and it seems there are things people just have trouble getting.

Gil & Scrolls:

-Exchanging 100 CP for a Silver Treasure Chest [event] - Tip I picked up browsing the higher ranking people's messages. They say to sell all the unneeded weapons and keep the scrolls.
-When there is no event, you will have to settle for getting gil & scrolls from just brigade battles. Doing 1 BP attacks 3 times will get you 3 wood chests which will have either sellable weaps or scrolls.

Fragments:
-A lot depends on how quickly Chaos Bahamut goes down. 3 Fragments when all out attacking & 2 for single BP attacks (Thank you Piero) If CB dies fast then do a single attack. I missed like 5 of them waiting to get to 3 BP. The irritation isn't worth it, just hit it before it dies and get 3 sets of 2 crystals-'tis better than zero. Alternate between single and all out attacks depending on the flow of battle.

Crystal Points:
-Equip your self with like 10 max leveled abilities & weapons & do all out attacks. (But Flame Fossil, Howling Sword, Meteor Shooter R+ max evo sucks in stats compared to the other R+ event weaps when maxed enhanced/evolved) Also equip summon stones with the shortest charge requirements and level them up too so they can get activated often. Spaming BP restoration items help.

Contribution Points:
-Run around quest mode until you get a 2x points potion from Magic Pot or whack the esper during the 5 minute window of the Hero's Potion. Spaming BP restoration items help.

Abilities:
Quest a lot to increase encounters. Vomp Carrots on the Red & White Chocobos if you have them.

Post #17 - Part 2 of Chaos Bahamut Attacks!

New Map: Academia (Day) & (Night), just as I had predicted!
Also, the other Armor Breaker, Launch, & Woundare indeed new Red Chocobo drops.

I also snuck my way into the top 10 CP ranking... much apologies to Rahkaral for bumping you to eleventh place >.<;;;

Ehh I got nothing else much to say for now, I'm tired xD

Post # 16 - More Observations

Did you know, that attacking the lesser boss (the non esper or event boss), that BP will much quicker than usual? I'd say around half, but it seems I don't get to fight the lesser boss that often. Yesterday my brigade encountered only one.

Also in US vs THEM brigade battles, I think the winning brigade faces more of the lesser boss & the losing brigade gets more esper encounters. Today my brigade got 29 S.Prince encounters defeats and only 5 Remoras. This be fine if there was no event boss that everyone was gunning for.


* okay the numbers kinda inaccurate b/c the other brigade could have done the kill during the cases when both brigades face the same enemy but the numbers are probably pretty close since the lesser boss dies b4 the other brigade could get to them usually since they are so weak.

Post #15 - Two Crystals or Three?

So it finally clicked today why I would sometimes get 3 sets of 2 crystals or 3 sets of 3 crystals. I think it is really dependent on how many turns against Chaos Bahamut you can get through. For example, I'm strong enough to get through all 3 turns against a level 4-6 C. Bahamut. But against a level 7 C. Bahamut I was only able to get through 2 turns before the party would wipe. At least until I worked on leveling up more weapons last night. Now I suck a little less :D

Level up them Event Weapons & Abilities. The 3x multiplier really makes a difference. If you happen to have 10 event abilities & 10 event weapons that are fairly leveled well, you will do well. (I have 2 max evolved & enhanced Starseekers for this reason)
