New FFVII Event started today! It's slated to last 12 days and is a bit different from the previous events, yet still the same.
- After completing the quiz, you get a prize--one of each new event summonstones!
- You still earn CP from all brigade battles you participate in.
- CP chests will hand out non-event items again like last time
- Red, Blue, and/or Yellow Materia is obtained after the event boss Jenova-LIFE, is defeated.
- Transmution material costs decreased as limit boosts increase.
- You can earn abilities depending on how many times you summon Cloud III, Tifa II & Aeris I.
- Completing all 7 parts of Midgar Sector 8 will get you a new airship, 2 SR Ability Scrolls III, 30,000 gil & 10x Yellow Materia
- There are green chocobos instead of the red ones this time around, and they drop both event and non-event summon stones.
Assuming you managed to get atleast 1 summon on each in daily, you should hit the 10 times reward tier easily before the event ends. 20 should be possible without spending money, if you manage to level up to restore BP, attack every 45 minutes, evolve summon stones, or use multiples.
My favorite Japanese site for info seems to be dead. DeleteYou can have multiple event summon stones to multiply the amount of summons you can get. For instance, if you equip 2 Clouds, 2 Aerith and 1 Tifa, you will double the amount of summon counts for Cloud and Aerith. You could even feasibly equip 5 Clouds to reach 40 summons very quickly.

DeleteSorry if you already answered this somewhere, but how do you discover the bonus job? I personally have not discovered anything yet (I've only been playing about 2 weeks) and wasn't sure where to find the bonuses.
ReplyDeleteJob Bonuses for Brigade battles can only be discovered and are effective during battles with Espers(Carbuncle, Ramuh, etc) & Fiends (Tiny Mage, Thunderbird, etc). During events, there are Event Bosses such as Deathgaze & Jenova-LIFE. The battle bonus cannot be discovered Event Boss battles. In order to discover Bonus Job (or Weapon/Ability), you or your brigademates will need to swap jobs until it is dicovered. It helps in to say "not dragoon" or whatever it not is in brigade chat in order to discover it faster. You wont be able to to discover the Job Bonus yourself sometimes if you haven't unlocked region or advanced jobs. Bonus Job is also the hardest since discover you have a 1 in 23 chance of discovery on the first try where as Bonus Ability is 1 in 3 and Weapons is 1 in 11.
